Lamps & Lanterns

I'm afraid this is one big distraction for me.  For about 40 years I have been collecting anything that burns fuel. That is pretty broad. Fuel...gasoline (Coleman fuel), kerosene, wax, electricity, alcohol, and whale oil.  I will start linking some documents here as of 12/29/2020.  Some are my own docs that I will update from time to time, and will remove the old version and replace it with the new here.  All updated DATES will be at the bottom of the doc. I was posting them on a cloud site, but then when I changed the doc, the link also changed and the link would be lost.  This should work better. Besides, I'd like to show off some of my cool junk!

I started with a couple of Aladdin lamps, a Tall Lincoln Drape and a Short Lincoln, both old-formula Alacite.  the is was GPAs...Gas Pressure Appliances like Coleman stoves, lamps and lanterns.   Then non-Colman brands.  Next I got my fist Rayo kerosene lamp, and that led to 30 more center draft round wick lamps.

Aladdin Lamps
Coleman Lanterns, all GPA, including propane and butane

The Aladdin lamp is was what got me started in this fun hobby, back in about 1968.

GPA...Gas Pressure Appliances, and not just Coleman!

Kerosene lamps & lanterns, flat wick

Fascinating lamps, triple the light output of a flat wick. The table lamp is called a STAND LAMP.

Angle Lamp shown. I now FINALLY also have a working STUDENT LAMP!  I have been looking for 40 years!

Documents:

2020/12/29, UPDATED 2/5/2021: I started this page largely for this reason...INFORMATION, for the new collectors.  Try out my first one below:

2021/1/25:  OK, I found one more reason.  I need to quit going on "rescue missions" so I need to thin the herd.  Some items I need to move:

2021/1/30: I recently found a couple of Canadian Coleman 128 lamps, and one came with  a crumpled-up Instruction sheet, in English and French.   I pressed it with glass the best I could to de-wrinkle it, so it is just so-so, but still has some good info!

2021/2/5: Are you missing the elusive wick raiser sleeve for your STUDENT LAMP?  Make one here or a penny!
